In 2016 Dar launched ‘Jeans for Refugees’ - a global artistic collaboration dedicated to helping refugees worldwide. Celebrity participants include Sir Elton John, Woody Allen, Sharon Stone, Cameron Diaz, Naomi Campbell, Vivienne Westwood, Kate Moss, Marianne Faithful, Carla Bruni, Sophia Coppola, Salma Hayek, Harry Styles, Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Karlie Kloss. The collection was exhibited at the Saatchi Gallery in London in October 2016.
Recently, Dar has applied his unique creative talent to music and his debut album ‘Dardelica’ is due for release in 2018. The ‘Dardelica’ album presents a dynamic new musical language in the form of Johny Dar’s unprecedented sonic expression aka ‘alien-rap’ - an original organic sound merged with modern electronic production to deliver an audio experience like no other.
